Much of the technical documentation I have created has been for the United States Department of Justice (US DOJ). As such, there are a number of legalities that prevent me from sharing those specific items.
That being said, below I am in the process of creating a series of documents that are similar – in design, if not content – to the types of documents I created during my time at the US DOJ.
Style Guide
To ensure seamless and cohesive documentation, many organizations will create Style Guides. A Style Guide is a manual or template file that details the particular style – font, formatting, and so on – of a specific organization.
Technical Document
Many businesses and organizations produce technical content. Such content needs to be clear, concise, and impactful – as well as fairly accessible to stakeholders without a technical background.
Other Documents
If you’re wondering, then I am also adept at creating a myriad of other types of documentation, including, but not limited to:
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Test Plans
- Runbooks
- Process Documents, including Maps
- Gap Analyses
- White Papers
- Proposals
- After-Action Reports
- Knowledge Base Articles
- Job Aids
- Troubleshooting Guides
- Quick Reference Guides/Quick Start Guides
- Risk Mitigation Plans
- RACI Charts
- Disaster Recovery Plans
