I spent several years teaching in both collegiate and K-12 settings. I love education, and creating culturally-responsive materials that enable students to see themselves in what they’re studying.
Below are a few examples of courses and assessments I have authored.
Middle School Critical Thinking Course
This is a snippet of a middle school Critical Thinking course. The unit had 4 lessons and several interactives (which, unfortunately, could not be showcased fully in this format).
Middle School Health Assessment
This is the a set of unit-level assessments for a middle school Health course. The assessment is comprised of:
- 45 multiple choice questions
- 5 critical thinking questions
- 2 discussion questions
- 5 knowledge check questions (with feedback for each correct and incorrect answer)
Assessment:
The activities, which are broadly considered a part of the assessment process, are mini-projects that students complete after each unit.
